Orthodox Priest Blessed Belarusian Futsal Team

Belarusian futsal team attended the liturgy on 17 April at St Euphrosyne church of the Joy of all who Sorrow icon parish.

The liturgy was dedicated to the world futsal championship’15 start in Belarus. According to sobor.by, the liturgy was headed by the parish’s dean protopriest Ihar Karastyalyow who later blessed the players.

“We regularly attend church and ask for priest’s blessing before any serious endeavor”, – says Syarhey Safronaw,the national team chief coach.

The first game of the championship took place at Minsk Arena the same day.
