Radio Maria will Broadcast in Belarus

    The next April the Catholic Radio Maria Belarus will start broadcasting. Such decision was made at the Radio Maria world congress where representatives of Belarus were invited.

    At first the broadcast will be implimented only via Internet but it is planned to use other means of broadcast in the future, says Vyachaslau Hulevich, the head of Radio Maria Belarus, be.radiovaticana.va reports.

    The Belarusian programs will allow listeners to find put about Christian science, hear the broadcasts of services at different Catholic churches from all over Belarus, cultural, Christian social programs, music, reports on important events in the life of Catholic Church from all over the world.

    The interactive programs will also be aired during which the audience will be able to ask questions to the special guest priests.

    To Radio Maria available to all listeners, a radio box will be developed attachable to a 3G modem – such option will be convenient for people who rarely use the Internet and have no smatrphones.

    There is an intension to include the radio in the cable package for it to be listened on TV. A smartphone application is sure to be developed.

    The dean of St. Peter and Paul church in Kapyl f. Aliaksandr Tarasevich was appointed a spiritual guardian of the new radio station.

    Radio Maria station was station was founded in Italy in 1987 as an association of Catholic priests and other citizens, the aim of which was to bring the science of the Catholic Church outside its parishes.
