Metropolitan Pavel Prohibited Ministry For Three Priests
Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslaul Pavel, the Patriarchal Exarch of all Belarus, prohibited the ministry for three priests, Minsk diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church reported.
Thus, priest Sierhij Astašonak is relieved of the ministry at the church of the icon of Mother of God of Vladimir in Minsk and sent to the Elizabeth monastery in Minsk for a work of penance “on the discretion of the monastery’s confessor, protopriest Andrej Liemiešonak”.
“For an orbitraty abandonment of the place of ministry” father Hiennadź Tarapovič is relieved of the ministry at the church and sent to the Elizabeth monastery in Minsk for a work of penance. After a year of an impeccable service and in case he reunites with his family he may be restituted in his orders.
For multiple cases of violation of church discipline and pastoral oath Metropolitan prohibited ministry for protopriest Fiodar Kryvanos and appointed Žyrovičy monastery as the place of his work of penance.
